My works varies from day to day, depending on what Customer Complaints and Non-Conformances arise. As either of those items come up I document and log them; this can take varying amounts of time depending on how much information I receive and how severe the complaint/non-conformance is. I also have to follow up on open NCR's and CC's and try and get them closed out as quickly as possible.

Another ‘unscheduled' task that can arise any time is updating specifications on the intranet and in our data base system and distributing summaries of those updates.

I have on-going tasks to complete while not working on NCR's and CC's. These include updating Operational Procedures using Microsoft FrontPage, posing information on the company intranet, establishing Operational Procedures for areas not yet documented, once yearly complete the National Pollution Inventory for the EPA, organize internal and external audits, conduct audits of our company and collate audit information.

The occasional project will also come up, for example I created a “Packaging Specification” which summarizes how our customers like their product shipped to them.
